Tribute paid to Fatima Jinnah

ISLAMABAD, July 9: The 37th death anniversary of Madar-i-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah was observed on Friday throughout the country with due reverence.

Social, political and cultural organizations arranged seminars and functions to pay homage to Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah for her contributions to the cause of Pakistan.

She had played a vital role along with her brother, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, for the creation of Pakistan. She was an active member and dedicated worker of Pakistan movement and had played a leading role in that movement.

Mohtarma Jinnah particularly motivated the women of the subcontinent and activated them in the struggle for the creation of Pakistan.

In Karachi, a number of people from various walks of life visited her mazar to offer Fateha and lay floral wreaths. At different events held in various cities, speakers paid glowing tributes to the role played and services rendered by Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah. -APP
