ISLAMABAD, June 30: Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Wednesday reiterated his commitment to place the issue of implementation of the Seventh Wage Board award for newspaper employees before the cabinet.

"I will fulfil the commitment I have made to the journalist community," Mr Ahmed told reporters during a press conference at the PID auditorium.

Sheikh Rashid said he would place a resolution recently adopted by the National Assembly on the wage award before the new cabinet. It would be up to the cabinet to take a decision on the matter, he added.
