KOHAT, June 28: The Shia Supreme Council has dissolved all committees affiliated to the Young Men Shia Association and announced that fresh elections will be held within six months under the supervision of a 12-member caretaker committee.

An announcement to this effect was made on Monday after an extraordinary meeting of the supreme council which was presided over by Syed Mahatabul Hassan. The council asked three lawyers who were members of the caretaker committee, to prepare a constitution.

The council asked the members of the dissolved associations not to issue any press statements against the decision.

The members of the caretaker council nominated at the meeting are; Malik Abdullah Jan, Syed Shah Raza, Maulana Syed Sajjad, Shaukat Hussain advocate, Kazim Ali advocate, Syed Musarat Abidideen, Haji Israr Hussain, Haji Mohammad Raza, Syed Muzahir advocate, Amanullah Khan Kiani and Farman Ali.
