KOLKATA, June 24: India captain Saurav Ganguly has little doubt world's fastest bowler Shoaib Akhtar will lead Pakistan attack in next month's Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.

"I have little doubt Shoaib will form part of Pakistan team. He is too valuable for them. Without him, Pakistan attack will lack sting," he said.

Shoaib, spearhead of Pakistan attack, has lately been having problems with Pakistan Cricket Board PCB and captain Inzamamul Haq who resent his attitude and lack of discipline within team's framework.

"Whatever problem he is having with authorities, Shoaib will have to be fitted into Pakistan's scheme of things," remarked Ganguly. India and Pakistan meet for second time in the year when they clash in Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.

They had a historic series in Pakistan in the season bygone in which India emerged victorious in both One-day International and Test series. He also believes new coach Bob Woolmer would have an unenviable task in proving successful in moulding Pakistani cricketers into a successful unit.

"It would not be easy for Bob. Pakistan cricketers come from diverse backgrounds and are individualistic - it is difficult to mould them together," he observed. Ganguly was also not sure if language would not be a barrier in the day-to-day communication between Pakistan players and Woolmer. "Communication is an art and an essential aspect of coaching - Woolmer would not find it easy to communicate what he wants with the players." -Agencies
