ISLAMABAD, June 23: A meeting of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement MNAs and President Pervez Musharraf is expected to take place on Thursday, said MQM parliamentary leader Dr Farooq Sattar.

Talking to reporters in the Parliament House here on Wednesday, the MQM leader said during the meeting the party would apprise the president about its position on the recent political developments in Sindh.

Dr Sattar said the party had already informed the "authorities" about its "reservations" on various issues. When asked as to what strategy would be adopted by the party if its demands were not met by the government within the three-month deadline, he said the MQM Coordination Committee was monitoring the situation and would take a decision accordingly.

About the reports regarding removal of Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, he said the MQM was not aware of any such move as it had not been contacted by any circle in this regard.

He also informed the newsmen that one or two new ministers of the MQM would be inducted in the federal cabinet which was likely to be expanded after the budget session of the National Assembly.
