SHIKARPUR, June 15: A huge blast damaged the main gas pipeline at Begari Wah near the village of Gabol on Monday night. The supply of gas through the damaged pipeline has been suspended from the Sui station.

Work to repair the three-feet damaged portion of the pipeline is in progress. The blast also damaged a bridge in the San Wah area. It could not be immediately ascertained if the blast was caused by a technical fault or it was an act of terrorism.

On the complaint of the Parco station in-charge, Ghazi Anwar, the Naparkot police have taken into custody three security guards - Abdul Ghafoor Suhindro, Hazar Khan Suhindro and Jan Mohammad Pahore - for interrogation.

Meanwhile, a two-member Parco inquiry committee comprising Captain Pervez and Abdul Ghaffar Memon visited the place and collected pieces of the damaged pipeline for laboratory tests.
