KARACHI, June 8: The National Assembly members of Muttahida Qaumi Movement have urged Jamaat-i-Islami and other components of MMA to resign from the coalition government in Balochistan where a large number of people were killed in terrorist attacks.

In a statement, they castigated the religious parties for staging protest rallies, giving strike calls, demanding the governor's resignation, and even suggesting another operation in Karachi, by exploiting the recent incidents of terrorism here.

They said that JI and other MMA components should have the moral courage to resign from the Balochistan coalition government because the law and order there was also precarious, and government installations and infrastructure establishments were almost regularly being attacked.

Meanwhile, the newly elected nazmeen and naib-nazmeen in various UCs have vowed to strictly follow the path of tolerance and rid the city of extremists and religious fanatics.
