BEIJING, May 20: China has reiterated its concern over the prevailing tension between India and Pakistan and urged both the countries to resolve their disputes through peaceful means.

The two countries should solve their disputes through dialogue and negotiation, said a spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Kong Quan here on Monday.

When his attention was drawn towards the Indian government’s decision to expel Pakistan High Commissioner, the spokesman stated Peace in South Asia is in the interest of both the countries.

The spokesman told APP that China expects from both the countries that they would exercise restraints.—APP
