NAUSHEHRO FEROZE, May 26: The alleged killer of seven members of a family now being interrogated made further disclosures, police sources said on Wednesday. The accused, Sikandar Nodho, told police that he was from the Nodho clan and had married a girl from the Chandio clan. But his in-laws' family was not happy with their love marriage.

The accused told police that the parents of his wife had planned to kill him and when he came to know about their plans he invited his in-laws' family to Sunehri village in the jurisdiction of Korai police station, near Moro.

There he mixed some drugs in the food which they had at night and all the members of his in-laws' family fell unconscious. Then, turn-by-turn, he killed his father-in-law Hakim Ali Chandio, 52, his mother-in-law Ms Soomal, 45, brother-in-law Mashooq Ali, 32, and Ashiq Ali, 27, with a Kalashnikov assault rifle and strangled his sister-in-law Jamzadi, 8, brother-in-law Asif Ali, 12, and Deedar Ali, 22, son of Hakim Ali, and dug a big grave in his courtyard and buried all of them in one grave.

On the complaint of Safar Chandio, brother of Hakim Ali, Korai police have filed a case.

Our Dadu Correspondent adds: Residents from the Chandio tribe from different villages in the katcha area staged a demonstration on Dadu-Moro bridge on Wednesday to demand the arrest of all culprits involved in the killings of the entire family of Hakim Chandio and burial of their bodies in a grave in Sunhri village.

They were led by a relative of the affected family, Councillor Bahadur Khan Chandio and Wahid Bux Chandio, and they blocked the Dadu-Moro road for one hour.
