KARACHI, May 21: Pakistan's women's champion Carla Khan opened her campaign in the Dutch Open squash in style when she ousted Line Hansen of Denmark in straight games at the Caesar Sports Club in The Hague to reach the quarterfinals.

But Carla's compatriot, Saeed Hassan, the only Pakistani in the men's event of the tournament, was beaten in four games in the opening rounds by sixth seed Alex Strait of England.

Carla, seeded seventh in the championship, recorded a 9-6, 9-5, 9-3 victory over Hansen to confirm a quarterfinal clash with top seed Cassie Jackman of England.
