PESHAWAR, May 17: The week-long golden jubilee celebrations of Khyber Medical College, will be begin on Dec 20, a press release on Monday said. It said that the Khyber Medical College (KMC) was established in 1954, which would complete 50 years of its existence.

The students and teachers have planned numerous activities, including scientific programmes, social and cultural events, excursions, visits to historical places, during the celebrations.

A special issue of college magazine 'Cenna' would be published, which would reflect upon the last 50 years of academic and extracurricular activities of the KMC.

Six plenary lectures, 12 scientific symposia, 12 free paper sessions, 15 workshops and three poster session will be held during the celebrations. The college administration has asked the doctors, academicians and students to contact Scientific Committee Chairman Dr Abdul Hameed for their contributions during the golden jubilee week.
