PESHAWAR: Relief supplies

PESHAWAR, May 20: A joint team of the Pakistan Red Crescent/IFRCS on Monday proceeded to the Kurram tribal agency to distribute relief goods among the Afghans living in the Asgharo and Basu refugee camps.

The team, led by the Red Crescent Secretary, the NWFP chapter, Syed Ali Hassan, will distribute the goods among the 3,354 refugee families in the two camps over the next week, says a statement.

The relief items worth Rs5.5 million consist of 3,400 blankets, 3,400 kitchen sets, 3,400 tarpaulins, 3,400 skillets, 3,400 kerosene lamps and 13,600 jerrycans.—Bureau Report
