ISLAMABAD, April 28: A group comprising 50 students from different universities and colleges will visit China in December this year. This was stated by the state minister for culture and tourism, Rais Munir Ahmed , while talking to a six-member Chinese youth delegation, headed by Zhang Xiaolan, which called on him here on Wednesday.

The Chinese government had proposed to arrange an 11-day visit of about 100 Pakistani youth to China to be reciprocated by some 100 Chinese students. In the same way, a group of 40 students from China will visit Pakistan in December, the minister said.

The relations between Pakistan and China are spread over a span of more than five decades. He said the visit of the Chinese youth delegation to Pakistan under the cultural exchange programme between both the countries was a manifestation of the already cordial relations.

Such visits of youth were playing an important role in cementing the existing relationship between both the countries. The delegation also extended invitation to the minister to visit China, which was accepted by the minister.
