HYDERABAD, April 28: The A-section police here on Wednesday seized stolen machinery/material of government and sugar mills under section 550, CrPC. The Head Munshi of the A-section police station said that Haji Akbar and Irfan, who were taking the machinery to an undisclosed destination in a truck, had been released on personal bond as police wanted to nab real culprit.

Police intercepted a truck (C-2838) on Auto Bhan Road during snap checking. Akbar and Irfan, who alighted from the truck, informed police that truck carried scrap being brought from Lahore and was booked by Haji Ambal Khan of the Shinwari Goods Transport, Sujawal.

On search, fish plates of rail tracks, pistons and brakes of rail engines, parts of tractor, heavy duty pumping machinery, telephone poles and machinery of sugar mills was found. A non-cognisable report has been lodged against accused, police said.

SEIZED: The Qasimabad police seized 266 bags of substandard seed during a raid at a godown in Sehrish Nagar and arrested a man late Tuesday night. The accused, Mohammad Saleh, has been booked under relevant sections of the PPC. The case was lodged by an inspector of the federal seed bureau.
