QUETTA, April 21: At least six persons, including one woman, were killed and three others injured, one of them seriously, when a passenger coach turned turtle near Wadh, some 450kms south of here in Khuzdar district, on Wednesday.

"Six passengers received multiple head injuries and died on the spot," a senior officer of Khuzdar police confirmed. According to reports, a passenger coach left for Karachi from Quetta in the morning and when it reached near Wadh it overturned due to over speeding, resulting in the death of six passengers on the spot and injuries to three.

"The coach turned turtle due to over speeding," police said, adding that senior officers of police and local administration rushed to the accident site and removed all the victims to the Khuzdar district headquarters hospital.

The injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment. The condition of one of them was serious, hospital sources said. Four of the six deceased were identified as Habibullah, Abdul Manan, Ghulam Mohammad and Gohar.
