DADU, May 19: A man and his son were shot dead while his another son was injured by four robbers in Qadir Bux Jatoi village of Mehar taluka, some 90km from here, late Saturday night.

The robbers barged into the house of Achar Sargani, held the family hostage in a room and attempted to loot the house.

When the family raised hue and cry, their neighbours surrounded their house.

Sensing the danger, the robbers opened fire killing Mohammad Achar sargani, 40, and his son, Javed, 12, on the spot and injuring his another son, Bilawal.

Bilawal was admitted to the taluka hospital, Mehar, while the hospital authorities handed over the bodies of the deceased to their relatives after autopsy.

The Thariri Mohabbat police have registered an FIR against four unidentified men.
