KARACHI, April 13: Three persons were shot dead in different areas of the city on Tuesday. A factory owner was shot dead by unknown persons on Mauripur Road.

Police said that Faisal Ahmed Naqi, 45, was passing through Mauripur Road when two men on a motorcycle intercepted his car (AAH-703). Near Crown Cinema, they opened fire at his car and fled.

The wounded was rushed to the Civil Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. In Gadap, a rickshaw driver was shot dead early Tuesday morning, police said. They said that Taj Mohammad, 27, was intercepted by armed men near thado-nallah. They took him to a nearby field at gunpoint, shot him in the head and escaped.

In Nazimabad, an internet cafe owner was shot dead by bandits on Tuesday. Police said that two armed men barged into the cafe and started depriving the inmates of valuables and cash. On his resistance, the cafe owner, Abdul Rahim, was shot at point blank range. The victim was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
