SHIKARPUR, April 11: Two persons were killed and 20 injured in a collision between a passenger wagon and a tractor trolley near Lakhi Ghulam Shah on Saturday night.

The Sukkur-bound wagon (897) coming from Jacobabad collided head on with the tractor trolley as a result two passengers, Altaf Hussain Shah and Habibullah Bhayo, both residents of Sukkur, were killed and 20 injured.

The injured passengers included Riaz Ahmed, Ramzan, Abdul Samad Pathan, Ghulam Rasool Lashari, Ghulam Nabi Manganhar, Darya Khan Khoso, wagon driver Ghulam Yasin alias Ghulam Hussain Lashari and cleaner Habibullah Mahar.

Eight of them were referred to the Sukkur Civil Hospital due to their serious condition whereas others were admitted to the Civil Hospital here. The Lakhi Ghulam Shah police have registered a case.

JOBS: Provincial Minister for Population Welfare Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh has said that the Sindh government is doing its best to overcome unemployment problem as it has created many vacancies in education and other government departments.

He was speaking at a reception hosted in his honour by Haji Mohammad Ramzan Bhutto here on Saturday. He said that about 28,000 to 30,000 vacancies had been created but there were more than 600,000 jobless youths in the province. The minister said that the provincial government was taking steps to redress people's grievances and provide them maximum facilities.
