ISLAMABAD, April 9: The government is committed to strengthening the democratic institutions in the country. This was stated by Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali while talking to the National Assembly speaker, Chaudhry Amir Hussain , and PML-Q leader MNA Sardar Nasrullah Khan Dreshak, who called on him here on Friday.

The prime minister appreciated the performance of the MNAs who attended the last session of National Assembly that debated the President's address and adopted National Security Council Bill.

The National Assembly speaker apprised the prime minister of the constitution of house committees. Political Assistant to the Prime Minister Rana Nazir Ahmad also attended the meeting.

Later, MNAs Akhtar Khan Kanju, Syed Mohammad Asghar Shah and Malik M. Saifullah Khan Tiwana called on the prime minister separately. They informed the premier about the problems in their respective constituencies.
