SAHIWAL, April 8: People's Party MNA Naheed Khan offered on Thursday condolences to district president Mehr Ghulam Farid Kathia on the death of his brother. Ms Khan visited the residence of Mr Kathia and remained with him for some time.

Later, she told newsmen that the government efforts to break the ARD were bound to fail. She expressed the hope that the ARD would succeed in restoration of the 1973 constitution and supremacy of parliament.

She claimed that the ARD would win by-elections to Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan constituencies. Commenting on the Supreme Court verdict and possible return of PML-N chief Shahbaz Sharif, she said this would strengthen the ARD.
