PESHAWAR, April 7: The government has worked out a strategy for preparing a network of quality roads throughout the province, particularly the Jehangira-Swabi-Topi double road..

This was stated by Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani while talking to MPAs at the secretariat here on Wednesday. MPAs Tariq Khattak, Syed Qalab Hussain, Mohammad Ibrahim Qasmi and Allama Ramzan Tauqir of Tehrik-i-Islami had called on the chief minister.

Mr Durrani said that repair and construction of roads were being carried out on a priority basis. He said people expected much from the elected representatives and his government would try its best to come to their expectations.

He asked the MPAs to supervise development projects in their areas and ensure quality of work. He expressed the confidence that completion of these projects would provide relief to people.

Under the Tameer-i-Sarhad Programme, he pointed out, all elected representatives had been provided with equal funds. He said the government had accelerated efforts to realize rights of the province.
