ISLAMABAD April 6: Richa Mishra of India on Tuesday set a new record in 100metre butterfly as India took away all the 16 golds in women swimming competition at the 9th SAF Games.

Indian swimmers won all the five golds on offer at the last day of the competition. Indian swimmers Reshma Millet captured gold in 200m freestyle, Sivaranjani Vaidyanathan captured two gold medals in 200 m breaststroke and 4x100 metres freestyle relay and Sumi won in 200 m backstroke. Richa Mishra set a new SAF Games record clocking (01:05:82) and won gold for India.

Sivaranjani (India) clocked (01:09:93) and stood second position for silver while Sana Abdul Waheed of Pakistan took bronze with time of 01:12:85 in 100m butterfly. In 200m freestyle, Reshma Millat captured gold for India with a timing of 02:15:68. Kiran Khalid Zaman of Pakistan clocking 02:21:79 secured silver and Sana Abdul Waheed of Pakistan won bronze for Pakistan with a time of 02:27:55.

In 200m breaststroke Sivaranjani took away the gold for India timing 02:51:24. Bhavna Sharma won silver for India with a time of 02:53:70. Bangladesh's Doli Akhtar stood third with a time of 03:01:04 for bronze.

In 4x100 freestyle relay Sivaranjani clinched gold for India clocking 04:19:00. Pakistan's Rubab Raza secured silver timing 04:30:57 while Srilanka's Menaka De Silva clocked 04:33:50 for bronze.

In 200 metre backstroke, Sumi took the gold for India timing 02:33:54. Pakistan's Kiran Khan timed 02:40:34 and won the silver while Sri lanka! 's Dilini Hasanthi Liyanage clocked 02:48:01. -APP
