ISLAMABAD, April 6: A three-member US congressional delegation, led by its representative David Dreier, called on President Gen Pervez Musharraf here on Tuesday.

The delegation exchanged views with the President on matters pertaining to Pakistan-US relations, including the ongoing war against terrorism.

The President welcomed Mr Dreier's commitment to help build along-term partnership between Pakistan and US. The congressional team expressed their keen interest in the government's policies to improve the women welfare.

They offered links to promote cooperation in the development of small and medium businesses particularly those belonging to women. The foreign secretary, Riaz H.Khokhar, and US ambassador Nancy J.Powell were also present in the meeting.
