AMMAN, March 31: The wife of former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein has left Syria and gone to Qatar, a Jordanian lawyer who says she retained him to represent her husband said on Wednesday.
"Sajida Saddam Hussein left Syria for Qatar on Tuesday," said Mohammed Rashdan, who said he obtained the information from people in Syria. He said he did not know the reasons for Mrs Hussein's departure to a country that is a close US ally. -AFP
