PESHAWAR, March 30: Students intending to appear in the BA examination as private candidates have been facing difficulties in submitting their application forms at the office of the Controller of Examination, University of Peshawar.

Hundreds of students queued inside the controller's office complained that they had been running from pillar to post to submit their admission forms. "I failed in two papers in third year, but when I obtained DMC (detailed marks certificate) that showed my failure in all subjects," said a student of Mingora, Swat district.

According to him, he has been visiting the controller's office to correct his documents for his re-appearance in the failed papers, but to no avail. Likewise, another Mardan-based student said he was absent in one paper in third year, but his DMC showed his absence in all papers.

"The problem is that the doors are closed. The clerks are extremely overburdened with work. There is apparently no one to come to the rescue of the students," he said. According to him, he had already deposited examination fee for re-appearing in the papers in which he was absent in third year and also for the 4th year, but lamented that his money would go waste and he would be denied admission.

Hundreds of students have been faced with the problem of getting migration certificates from their respective boards. The Controller of Examination of the varsity had asked the students to attach migration certificates along with their third year's admission form, which is illogical, a student argued.
