MADRID, March 24: A mother protested on Wedneday at having to mourn the death of her son in the Madrid bombing attacks in the company of Jose Maria Aznar, Tony Blair and Colin Powell.

Pilar Paz Manjon blames the policies of the Spanish and British prime ministers and the United States secretary of state in favour of invading Iraq for the death of her son Daniel.

"I don't think I can face finding myself face-to-face with Aznar, Blair and Powell," she told SER radio, when asked whether she intended to attend the memorial mass for the victims.

"My son was the first to put a poster in the window against the war; my son is as innocent as the innocents who have fallen under their bombs in Iraq," she said. -AFP
