LAHORE, March 22: As many as 1500 fake tickets for Sunday's match in which India beat Pakistan by five wickets have been seized, chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) told a news conference on Monday.

Shaharyar M. Khan showed journalists a bag full of fake tickets and disclosed that some arrests had also been made in this connection. Police are conducting raids to locate the printing press.

He warned fans not to buy tickets ahead of the series deciding fifth game on Wednesday from anyone, as all tickets had already been sold out. "Between 500 to 700 fake tickets were sold outside the stadium on Sunday and a lot many of them are still in circulation."

Shaharyar apologised for the inconvenience to general public during Sunday's match at the Qadhafi Stadium. "There was shortage of water, the ladies toilets were not clearly marked and some of the fans tried to gate crash.

We have reviewed everything and are trying to rectify the problems." The gates for Wednesday's day/night game will be opened at 9.30am and additional ticket-scanning lanes are to be set up to facilitate spectators.
