LAHORE, March 9: Pakistan Cricket Board has announced cash prizes of Rs 300,000 for every player of the Pakistan Under- 19 team and Rs 100,000 for every player of the Under-17 team for winning the World Cup and Asia Cupthis year.

The announcement was made by the PCB chief executive Ramiz Hasan Raja, at a special function held in honour of both the teams by the Punjab Governor Lt Gen (retd) Khalid Maqbool at the Governor House on Wednesday.

Punjab governor assured the players that more prizes would be awarded to them by the Prime Minister and the President of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan were also the world champions in U-15 and the Blind cricket and those were great achievements.

He said that the Under-19 team also displayed exemplary discipline in the World Cup at Dhakka and deserved a praise. He advised the Pakistan senior team should also perform exceptionallyin the series against India, keeping inview the feats of their juniors in mind. Ramiz claimed that Pakistan earned feats at the junior level due to the National Cricket Academy.
