KARACHI, March 5: Sindh Governor, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan on Friday directed that all arrangements regarding first ODI between Pakistan and India on March 13 should be completed by March 10.

He said the focus of these arrangements should be on holding of this international event in a conducive and congenial environment. At a high level meeting held at Governor House, arrangements for the match were reviewed in detail and later the governor along with officials visited National Stadium, had an on-the-spot appraisal and also issued various directives.

Besides going round various sections of the stadium, the Governor also saw the outside arrangements. The governor also appealed to the people to fully cooperate in successful holding of this international event here and also help develop a better image of Karachi in the world.

He said the match should be watched with sportsman's spirit no matter which team wins and loses. Dr Ebad directed that arrangements for transport shuttle service from parking spots up to Stadium be arranged.

Earlier IG Police and DCO Karachi briefed the Governor about security and administrative matters. He was told that for the occasion, intelligence network will also be kept functional along with deployment of police and rangers. On the occasion installation of surveillance cameras and aerial surveillance will also be organized.
