LAHORE, March 4: Pacer Shabbir Ahmad had two stitches on the little finger of his left hand on Thursday after he sustained a cut while fielding during a pratice match.

The game was played between Pakistan camp probables at the Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday. Quoting his doctor, Shabbir said he would be okay in two to three days as the cut wasn't serious.

Back from Australia on Sunday, where he sought advice from bowling coach Daryl Foster, Shabbir sent down six overs in the practice match and finished with figures of 21-0.

The match was abandoned after manager Haroon Rashid, coach Javed Miandad and captain Inzamam left the venue during the second innings. Pakistan Whites had scored 206 for all in 43.1 overs batting first. Pakistan Blues were 161 for six in 35 overs when the match was called off.
