KHAIRPUR: Ulema's movement restricted

KHAIRPUR, Feb 23: The provincial home department has restricted the movement of some Ulemas and Maulanas of the Shia and Sunni sects for 90 days with immediate effect.

The orders issued under the Sindh Maintenance of Public Order 1960 said the religious leaders would not enter, reside or remain in districts other than those of their domicile. The district-wise list is as follows:

KHAIRPUR: Maulana Shamsuddin, Maulana Ali Sher Hyderi (Sarparast-i-Aala, Millat-i-Islamia Pakistan), Maulana Syed Paryal Shah (president, Millat-i-Islamia Sindh), Maulana Abdul Karim Mari, Maulana Abdul Hameed Lund, Maulvi Abdul Rasheed Shar, Maulvi Mohammad Siddiq Shaikh, Maulana Ghulam Akbar Dati, Maulvi Asad Ali Shar, Maulana Manzoor Ali Solangi, Maulvi Abdul Wahid Brohi, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Janwari, Zakir Amir Habib Soomro, Maulana Talib Hussain Janwari, Maulana Mohammad Aslam Rajput, Maulana Abdul Qayoom Janwari, Maulvi Hafiz Shakeel Ahmed Memon, Maulvi Naimatullah Shaikh, Maulana Abdul Momin Jafri, Muneer Hussain Hyderi, Zakir Mohammad Saleh Shar, Allama Sabit Ali Khoso, Allama Syed Sabi Ali Najfi, Allama Syed Irshad Ali Shah, Syed Gada Hussain Shah, Syed Imdad Ali Shah and Maulana Khadim Hussain Shar.

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Maulvi Mohammad Idrees Dahri, Maulvi Azizullah Bhayo and Maulana Shuja Rasool Malik.

NAWABSHAH: Zakir Ghulam Shabbir Chandio and Maulana Abdul Hameed Lund.

Interestingly, Maulana Abdul Hameed Chandio, a Shia scholar of Larkana district who died a year ago, has also been included in the list.

NAZIM: District Nazim Nafisa Shah has said there is a law and order situation in the district as the police have failed to maintain peace.

She was talking to journalists and villagers in Dilawar Khuhro village on Monday after offering her condolences with the relatives of union councillors who were killed four days ago.

She said three councillors Ammer Ahmed Khuhro, Ghulam Shabbir Khuhro and Anwar Ali Narejo were killed in different attacks but the killers had not been arrested.
