LAHORE: Laser show pulling crowds

Published February 18, 2004

LAHORE, Feb 17: The light and laser show at the Lahore Fort is pulling crowds as compared to the much-trumpeted National Horse and Culture Show.

Entry to the show at the Fort depicting Mughal culture is through passes which are being sought by everyone. But these are being issued to only those who really matter.

In view of the demand the government has deputed separate staff to handle the rush of people, many of whom remain unsuccessful despite their political or official positions.

Meanwhile, the civil secretariat appeared deserted on Tuesday because of, what some officials said, government's concentration on both the shows. Many low-grade employees were seen looking for passes, especially for the show at the Fort, through their contacts.
