A gang of masked robbers intercepted constable Qasim Shah in Chak 78-GB and tried to snatch cash and a wristwatch from him. When the constable put up resistance, the bandits shot him dead and fled.

Four dacoits looted cash and valuables from a shop in Jinnah Colony. Shopkeeper Rizwan overpowered one of the bandits and raised an alarm. But the bandits opened fire, killing Rizwan on the spot. Police are investigating.
