PESHAWAR, Feb 13: The Peshawar High Court on Friday put on notice the NWFP advocate-general on a petition challenging cancellation of an industrial exhibition.

The bench, comprising Justice Tariq Pervez and Justice Ijaz Afzal, fixed Feb 18 for hearing. Naveed Anjum stated in his petition that he had obtained permission from the sports and culture secretary to hold the exhibition from Feb 10.

He said that under an agreement they had to pay Rs20,000 per day to the government and added that they had already set up stalls on the venue. Those who wanted to put their products on display had already paid fee for stalls and cabins, he said.
