RIYADH, Feb 13: Saudi Arabia said on Friday it had confirmed information that a car owned by a wanted militant has been packed with explosives to be used in a criminal act in Riyadh.

An interior ministry statement gave a description of the car and asked the public to be on alert and inform authorities if they had any information on the vehicle.

"The interior ministry would like to alert citizens and residents, especially in Riyadh, that it has confirmed information that a car registered in the name of one of those wanted (militants) has been packed with a huge amount of explosives to be used in a criminal act," it said. -Reuters
