LAHORE, Feb 9: An appellate bench of the Lahore High Court on Monday directed the NAB counsel to file reply on the petitions of the co-accused in a wilful default reference against former federal minister Nawaz Khokhar.

Najma Nawaz Khokhar, Afzal Khokhar, Imtiaz Khokhar and Haji Allah Ditta had challenged the freezing of their accounts. Advocate Munir Ahmad Khan submitted that his clients were acquitted by the trial court but their bank accounts were still frozen.

The NAB counsel sought time to seek instructions in this regard. The main appeal was filed by former federal minister and ex-deputy speaker of the National Assembly, Nawaz Khokhar, against his conviction by an accountability court of Rawalpindi in a wilful default reference. -APP
