Stressing the need for concerted efforts to enhance the production of fruits, he said: "We can produce every kind of fruit round the year as the country has favourable climate".

He said the Punjab province produced 1,900,000 tons of citrus fruit annually. Research centres are playing a vital role in the production of all types of crops, he added.
