ISLAMABAD, Jan 25: The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has conducted an online test for the second time in the seven major cities of the country for recruitment of appropriate human resources.

According to a press release issued here on Sunday more than 5,000 candidates appeared for different posts. The first online test of its kind was conducted by the Authority in September 2003 at its headquarters using specially designed software.

For information of candidates, an advertisement was placed in the national and regional newspapers informing prospective candidates for the posts of assistant manager, system engineer, database administrator, system administrator, assistant manager report, hardware engineer that whosoever met the criterion could appear for the on line test.

In order to give equal opportunity to the candidates, questions were segregated into easy, medium and difficult categories having different weightage. To maintain the secrecy of the questionnaire it was developed in an encrypted format that was only readable by software.

Every time computer gives different selection of questions to avoid cheating. In this test every candidate has to sit across a computer and select the right answer from the given options.

The time remaining to complete the test is constantly displayed, while the candidate has the option to skip a question and come back to it again. The result of the test is displayed to the candidate at the end of the test.

Director Human Resources Khalid Khattak, Deputy Director Technical Azhar Nawaz, Deputy Director Technical Mohammad Adnan Siddiqui along with a team of assistants were present on the premises to conduct the test and to assist the candidates.
