PESHAWAR, Jan 22: The local Ulema would announce their decision about the sighting of Zilhijj moon three days later. This was stated by Khateeb of Qasim Ali Khan mosque Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai while talking to Dawn here on Thursday.

Mufti Popalzai said the local Ruet committee had not received any evidence about the sighting of Zilhijj moon from any part of the province or the tribal areas. "It was not possible as heavily overcast conditions prevailed in the province on Thursday," he said.

"We expect the evidence to arrive in two to three days from the far-flung areas. On the basis of credibility of such evidence, the ulema would make an announcement about Eid-ul-Azha", Mufti Popalzai added. He said that the ulema would assemble in the Qasim Ali Khan mosque three days later for the purpose.
