LANDI KOTAL, Jan 21: Acceding to demands of the Khyber Agency residents, the Election Commission of Pakistan has extended the last date for enrolment and correction in the existing voters' list till January 31.

The EC had earlier fixed January 22 as last date for fresh enrolment, correction in the voters list and objections against the previous list. "In keeping with the demand of the local residents, the EC has now extended the exercise of new enrolment for another nine days", Saeed Mohmand, Khyber Agency Assistant Election Commissioner told Dawn.

Mr Mohmand said that three types of forms were being placed at every tehsil office. Objections could be filed through form number 4, changes could be made through form number 5 and new names could be included in the voters list through form number 6, he informed. All such forms were available at the offices of tehsildars and assistant political agents of the three tehsils.

Mr Mohmand however emphasized that no one was allowed to even put a mark on the previous voters list, which were being placed at various public places for the convenience of general public.
