HYDERABAD: Uplift of mineral sector

HYDERABAD, Jan 20: Sindh Mineral Development Minister Mohammad Usman Malkani has assured the mine owners that the Sindh government was taking interest in developing the mineral sector.

He was talking to the office-bearers of the Lakhra Coal Mines Association during a visit to Lakhra Coal Mines near here on Monday.

The minister constituted a committee headed by the secretary, mineral development, Israr Ahmed Shaikh, and asked the managements of the mines to submit the names of their representatives for the committee so that the problems being faced by them and labourers could be resolved.
