QUETTA, Jan 14: Balochistan High Court Single Bench Judge Ahmed Khan Lashari has issue stay orders against the cancellation of plots in the Sanghar housing scheme, Gwadar.

Six persons had filed petitions before the BHC to grand stay orders against the government's decision of cancelling the plot allotments in the Sanghar housing scheme, Gwadar.

The court, on Monday, after hearing the arguments of the counsel for petitioners granted stay order against and put the provincial government on notice.

The petitioners who filed the applications included Asad Munir, Asmat Jamal, Tariq Masood, Saleem Zulfiqar, Amina Paracha and Talha Ghaznavi. They prayed the court to nullify the cancellation of the plots by government in the scheme as it was an unlawful decision and violated the articles 23 and 24 of the Constitution.

The petitioners had claimed they had purchased the plots and were holding valid ownership rights which could not be cancelled.
