SHEIKHUPURA, Jan 13: Three people were killed in different parts of the district on Tuesday. Three robbers opened fire on a bus carrying a marriage procession on resistance in Chak 17, killing bus conductor Hidayat, 30, on the spot.

He was a resident of Tariq Road, and a father of three children. A rashly driven passenger bus crushed one Imran, 60, on Muridke Road when he was crossing the road.

He had been working as a security guard with a factory. Police recovered the body of an unidentified man, about 70, from Ghullah Wattwan village. They claimed that the old man had been strangled as there were marks around his neck.
