SWABI: GIK alumini's reunion

SWABI, Jan 8: The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology is organizing a reunion of alumini on January 17, to mark its 10 years of excellence, said the GIK Institute rector Dr Mohammad Naseer Khan here on Thursday.

He said that the event would be the first reunion of alumni of the Institute who had been serving in different national and multinational companies. The first batch of students was admitted in Oct 1993 and so far, nine batches of undergraduates and one batch of graduates have passed out from the institute.

Higher studies programmes like MS and PhD were launched in the institute in fall semester 2001. Dr Khan said that in one decade, the institute had acquired an international recognition for its world-class education and modern methods of instruction and evaluation.
