TOBA TEK SINGH, Jan 4: At least two dozen people were arrested from different parts of the district on Sunday for selling prize bond numbers. Arrouti police arrested five people, including Chak 760-GB's Jamia Mosque prayer leader Maulvi Mohammad Aslam, Ansar Abbas, Amjad Ali and Riaz Ahmad.

Toba police also arrested five people, including Mustafa, Anjum, Ishaq and Nasir, while Gogra and Nawan Lahore police arrested Khadim, Munir, Shahid, Ismail, Boota Masih, Shahbaz, Anwar, Ishaq, Zahoor, Tariq Aziz and Khalid.

They have been sent to jail.

MSF: The Muslim Students Federation will be reorganized throughout the country. This was stated by MSF central president Asif Chattha while speaking at a workers convention here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, MSF's Punjab president Tariq Mahmood Gujjar complained that MSF workers had always been ignored, but now they would fight for their rights.

Punjab Forest Minister Dr Ashfaqur Rehman assured MSF workers that they would be given due importance and all PML-Q office-bearers would cooperate with them in reorganizing the federation.

PPP: Two groups of the PPP will hold separate functions on Monday to observe the 76th birth anniversary of the late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. The city PPP will arrange a function at 6pm at its office, while the district PPP will hold a function at 3pm at its office opposite the district courts.
