LAHORE, Feb 11: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate the annual three-day Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) by performing the ‘chaddar-laying’ ceremony at the shrine on Feb 14 (Saturday).
Punjab Auqaf and Religious Affairs Minister Haji Ehsanuddin Qureshi said, at a press conference here on Wednesday, a ‘Syed Hajvair Tassawwaf Seminar’ would be held at the Punjab University Senate Hall on Thursday (today). A ‘manqabat mushaira’ would be held at the Data Darbar Masjid on Friday (tomorrow) night. National ‘Mehfil-i-Qirat’ would be held at the masjid on Saturday afternoon.
He said a two-day National ‘Mehfil-i-Naat’ will begin at the Data Darbar on Saturday night. ‘Mahafil-i-Samaa’ would be held at the Samaa Hall (Data Darbar Complex) on Feb 15 and 16. Seminars on the life of the patron saint would be held on two days and the event would conclude with a collective prayer on Feb 16.
