Malegaon probe set to expand

ISLAMABAD, Jan 29: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Mumbai police is likely to interrogate Sri Ram Sena chief Pramod Muthalik, following reports that he had links with Lt-Col S. Purohit, an accused in the Malegaon blast case.

The development came after media reports claimed that Lt-Col Purohit had held a meeting with Muthalik in Pune. According to an Indian TV channel, details of Lt-Col Purohit’s meeting with Muthalik have been mentioned in the chargesheet filed against him in the Malegaon blast case.

Lt-Col Purohit reportedly told his interrogators that he had a meeting (with Muthalik) in Pune.—APP
