SUKKUR, Jan 28: Three people, including an elderly woman, were injured in an armed clash between two groups of villagers over a dispute involving karo-kari allegations in Jafarabad village near here on Wednesday.

A month ago, 85-year-old Allah Wassayo Mahar had declared his 70-year-old wife Rani kari amid allegations of illicit relations with 80-year-old Maula Bux Mahar.

On Wednesday after exchange of hot words the supporters and opponents of Allah Wassayo attacked each other with wooden clubs. As a result, three people including elderly Rani were injured and taken to Civil Hospital Sukkur.

Abdul Razzaq and Nisar, both sons of Allah Wassayo, told the police that their mother was innocent and their father wanted to usurp her property after killing her on the pretext of karo-kari. No case was registered.
