JHANG, May 14: The district police claimed to have recovered within few hours the car some bandits drove away with on Monday morning.

Reports said some bandits drove away with a citizen’s car (SJG-9262) towards the Jhang Road.

Led by an information, local SSP Tariq Masood Yaseen ordered policemen to set up pickets on main roads.

Seeing police, the bandits diverted the car towards the Chiniot Road. The police chased the bandits just a few kilometres until one of the jawans of elite force jumped into the car and overpowered the bandits.

The police claimed they had recovered cash and car from the bandits. They handed over these to the owner.
