KARACHI, Jan 14: Baloch Mohammadan beat Burma Mohammadan 5-3 to qualify for the league round of the NBP Challenge Cup Football Tournament at the Colony Sports Football Ground, Malir, on Wednesday.

The match had to be decided on penalty kicks when the score line remained 1-1 during regulation time.

Right-winger Mohammad Imran scored for Burma in the 70th minute and Baloch Mohammadan’s international striker Mama Umar Baloch equalised in the 75th minute.

Baloch Mohammadan’s strikers Mama Umar, Abdul Majeed, Yar Mohammad and international Nasir Ismail converted the penalty kicks for them.

Mohammad Imran and Ayub Khan netted the ball for the losing outfit.

The match was supervised by referee Aziz Pasha. Mohammad Zaheer Abbas was the match commissioner.
